SANTA BARBAR FOR THE GIRLS

Okay Ladies…we could have put together a page of our “bests” for you but we’ve gone one-step better. We hit the spas and searched out the greatest pampering spots in the Santa Barbara area and beyond. These are places you’ll want to go with a group of close friends or with your Mom (when she’s in town to visit).

Bellezza Vita, which means “For beauty. For life,” a brand new facility in nearby Summerland, is the ultimate in salon service. Owner Theresa Borgatello-Carlson strives to provide excellent customer service all the way through to the littlest details. Indeed, her staff treats you as it you’re their most important client.

Keep in mind, this is a full service salon and spa. That means you can get facials, waxings, body treatments, tanning, manicures, pedicures and hair services (including nourishing treatments, color, cuts, and highlights).

Their latest product offering is New Lash; a peptide serum that gets your own lashes to grow. This can take some time, so immediate gratification is available witheyelash extensions.

All the services we tried were superlative. Kristen Cosmi’s Lomi Lomi massage was the most heavenly level of relation ever experienced. Lead aesthetician Elisa Steffan performed a Revitalizing Facial; using a gemstone clay mask and Epicuren products. The Epicuren line, Stephan says, “Is like aerobics for your skin. It helps to speed up cellular metabolism, as it tones and tightens.”

With its view of the ocean, it’s charming patio and tranquil setting you’ll really feel like you’re living the beautiful life away from everything at Bellezza Vita.

Editor’s Note: I also tried a Brazilian wax with Aesthetician Lynn Hart, who used Glo Chocolate Hard Wax. Usually I’m reeling in pain. I never felt a thing.
